Son of Alfred Henry and Mary Jane Peto, of Sykehouse, Yorkshire. Educated at Leeds Grammar School, Leeds University and Leeds Medical School.
FALLEN OFFICERS. CAPT. PETO. Capt. Morton Peto, M. C., R.A.M.C., attached Royal Berks Regiment, who died of wounds on September 22nd, was the youngest son of the late Rev A. H. Peto, of Leeds. He was educated at Leeds Grammar School. Leeds University. and Leeds Medical School, and was on the staff at Leeds Infirmary at the outbreak of war. He joined at once, and was sent to France within a few weeks. He had since served with the Field Ambulance, the Cameron Highlanders. and the Royal Berks Regiment. He was mentioned in Lord French’s last dispatch, and later be received the Military Cross.
